Gmail sending out invites to email list
Google's Gmail free email service must be about to finally go live, with no more invitations. As most people know, invitations to the beta Gmail service were very scarce for a long long time, with those who got accounts only able to invite a few others. Recently they bumped up the number of invites to fifty, so now just about everyone who wants one has one.
I was lucky and managed to get my Gmail account fairly early in the beta. But back in the day before I was able to get it, GMail had an email notification list where you could sign up to be notified when Gmail was publicaly available, and I had signed up. Well today I finally got my first email from that list! It took much longer than I had expected when I registered for it nearly a year ago.
Thanks for signing up to be updated on the latest Gmail happenings. We hope it's been worth the wait, because we're excited to finally offer you an invitation to open a free Gmail account! Just click on this link to create your new account:The public Gmail web site still says it's invitation only as of this morning. By the way, if anyone actually still needs Gmail invites, I have bunches of them to give out.

Our users are what have made this product great.whether you're just signing up for your account or you've been with us since the beginning, keep letting us know how we can build you the best email service around.
That's it for now. We hope you like Gmail and will share it with your friends. We've got lots of cool new stuff planned and we can't wait for you to see our work in your Gmail accounts! Stay tuned...
Thanks,
